The short answer
When an IT fault stops a business from trading, WaTo Consulting works out what is broken, restores the most urgent thing first, such as payments, email or shared files, and then finds the cause. Help comes remotely or on-site across Adelaide, and you do not need to be an existing client to call.
What does emergency business IT support involve?
When you call, we first work out what is actually broken and what it is stopping, such as taking payments, sending email or opening shared files. We restore the most urgent thing first, remotely where we can and on-site when the fault needs hands on equipment, even if the proper fix takes longer. Once the business is trading again, we look for the cause and tell you what would stop it happening next time.
What WaTo can help with
Triage first
Work out what is down, who is affected and what can be restored fastest.
Business impact
Prioritise email, internet, payments, files and access according to what the business needs now.
Practical recovery
Use remote and on-site support where appropriate to get work moving again.
Follow-up fixes
Identify the underlying cause and the sensible changes that reduce repeat outages.
Who it is for
- A shop whose EFTPOS or point-of-sale system has dropped offline in the middle of trading.
- An office where nobody can sign in to email or Microsoft 365 and clients are waiting on replies.
- A business that suspects ransomware or a hacked account and needs someone to contain it quickly.
- Teams whose usual IT person is away or unreachable when the server or internet goes down.
How it works
- You call and tell us what has stopped. We ask what is affected, how many people are stuck and what has already been tried, so we know where to start.
- We connect remotely or come to you. Where the fault allows we start with a remote session, and if equipment needs hands on it we head out to your premises.
- We get the business working first. That might be a temporary workaround, such as moving staff to a hotspot or a spare device, while the real fix is lined up.
- We report the cause and what to change. You get a plain account of what failed, what we did and the changes worth making so it is less likely to happen again.
Why WaTo for emergency business IT support
- We triage by business impact, so payments and customer contact come before the printer in the back room.
- We are used to walking into unfamiliar setups, so you don't need to be an existing client to get help.
- Remote and on-site work comes from the same team, so the person who started the job sees it through.
- A local Adelaide team since 2001, with a real person answering the phone.
Emergency business IT support questions
Do you charge more for urgent or after-hours work?
Yes. Urgent and after-hours work is billed at a higher hourly rate than booked work, and both rates are shown on this page. We tell you which rate applies before we start.
Will you need access to our computers or accounts?
Usually, yes. We may need a remote session on an affected computer and admin access to systems like Microsoft 365 or your router. We only use what the job needs, and we tell you what we accessed so passwords can be changed afterwards if you prefer.
What if the fault is with our internet provider or a software vendor?
We confirm where the fault sits and, if it is outside your network, help you log it with the provider and give them the details they ask for. In the meantime we look for a workaround so the business can keep going.
Our computers or systems are down. Who can help urgently in Adelaide?
Call WaTo Consulting. We work out what is down and who is affected, then restore the most important things first, such as email, internet, payments and files, using remote and on-site help as needed.
What should we do first when our IT stops working?
Write down what stopped, when and any error messages, and avoid repeatedly restarting equipment. If you suspect a hack or ransomware, disconnect affected computers from the network and call for help before deleting anything.
Can you help even if you are not our usual IT provider?
Yes. We can step in for an urgent problem, get the business working again, and then talk about the underlying cause. There is no need to be an existing client first.
